#16: Do you show sorting feature on the top right corner above product list?
The logic here is the same as in the recommendation to place filters in the left sidebar - shoppers are used to it, they know where to find it. That's why it's good for usability.
If you place it in a non-standard place, then it will be more difficult for people to find it and this will worsen usability. Do not invent a wheel where it is not needed.

Bad example from Puravida:
They show sorting feature in a window with filters which is not standard UX solution for that element. As a result it's harder to find how to sort items.
Good example from FashionNova:
They show sorting feature where we expect to see it: above product list on the right side of the screen
