#4: Do you have consistent size of product cards?
If you are using grid view on category page, keep the size of product items consistent. If you decide to change the size of some products (to highlight them among other products), it will make the interface more complex for perception, it will be harder for shoppers to scan the whole product list.
In the A/B test that was implemented on Smartwool website Blue Acorn found that the same size of product items increased revenue by 17.1% compared with original version where some product cards had much bigger size.

Therefore do not reinvent the wheel. People are used to the pattern when all products have the same size on category pages. Keep it simple!
