Obviously discounts are playing one of the most important roles in ecommerce right now. If you don't display that information on product categories, shoppers will be able to see that only on product pages. But if they don't reach product pages, they will never know that you have any offers.
Moreover, it's important to show amount of savings and the percentage of savings. If you don't show that information, shoppers will have to calculate it themselves and it will create additional cogntiive load which is not good. Recommendations:
- Show regular and discounted prices;
- Make discounted prices more prominent than regular to make it clear that there is special offer;
- Show amount of savings;
- Show the percentage of savings.
Don't make your shoppers to think a lot. Instead, provide them with already calculated information and just show them the benefits of a sale. Bad example on Bulletproof:
